Haplogroup R2(M124) is now R2a(since Aug.2010)

R2 Basics

R2 is a Y-chromosome haplogroup characterized by genetic marker M124. At least 90% of R2 individuals are located in the Indian sub-continent. It is also reported in Caucasian and Central Asian populations.
